Coburn Mineral Sand Project

The proposal is to develop a mineral sand mine for the excavation and processing of a portion of the low-grade heavy mineral sand deposit, the Amy Zone, into a heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) in the Shark Bay district of Western Australia. Keysbrook Mineral Sands Mine

The proposal involves the excavation and processing of a low-grade (2.7%) heavy mineral sands deposit near Keysbrook to produce 920,000 tonnes of Heavy Mineral Concentrate (HMC) over 8 years. Kemerton Power Station

The proposal is to construct a nominal 260MW peaking power plant, consisting of: two open cycle air-cooled gas turbine generator sets; standby liquid fuel storage (1.5ML of ultra low sulphur diesel); and ancillary buildings and plant. Sheffield Resources Limited is seeking approval to develop the Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project located on the Dampier Peninsula, approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Derby, Western Australia.
