The proposal aims to reduce the flow of high salinity river water entering Wellington Dam and improve the quality of dam water for irrigated agriculture in the Collie and Myalup irrigation districts. The proposal is for the works and operation of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and woodlot reuse scheme for the first three years. This will enable monitoring and evaluation to be undertaken to determine a longer term strategy for development and operation of the scheme.
