Proposed Harvey to Kwinana 330Kv Transmission Line

The proposal is for a 330 kV transmission line from Harvey to Kwinana, a distance of approximately 102 km. The first 51 km of the route parallels the existing Bunbury - Cannington 132 kV line from the Harvey Substation site almost to Pinjarra. There are a number of deviations to avoid major road intersections, dwellings and their environs and Pinjarra townsite. Fremantle Inner Harbour deepening project

The proposal is to deepen the Inner Harbour of the Port of Fremantle by dredging the harbour by 2 metres to achieve a depth of approximately 13 metres. The dredge spoil would be used to reclaim an area of 27 hectares to the north of the North Mole, to be contained by a sea wall to the west and a bund wall to the north. LPG extraction plant - proposed modifications to extract ethane

Wesfarmers LPG Pty Ltd are currently constructing an LPG extraction facility at Kwinana, adjacent to Mason Road, and opposite the proposed site for the Petrochemical Industries Company Limited (PICL) proposal. The facility is designed to extract 150,000 tonnes per annum of propane and butane, with the intention of returning the remaining gases, principally methane and ethane, to the natural gas pipeline for sale to traditional natural gas customers. This initial proposal is establish an integrated petrochemical complex at Kwinana. The proposed complex would utilise natural gas and industrial salt to produce a range of products for overseas and local markets. Proposed ammonia - urea plant, Kwinana

The proposal is to establish a $450 million ammonia/urea facility in the Kwinana industrial area which will produce 500 000 tonnes per annum (t/a) of ammonia . Approximately half of this ammonia is proposed to be utilised to manufacture 430 000 t/a of urea. The proposal calls for the storage of 30 000 tonnes of ammonia. Proposed ceramics plant, Malaga

The proposal is for a ceramics plant at Malaga, approximately 12 km north of Perth. The proposal involves using up to 7000 tonnes/annum of clay, schist, talc, feldspar and quartz for the production of assay crucibles, cups, and possibly tableware. Proposed liquid waste treatment plant at Westfield

The Health Department, acting under instructions of the Cabinet Committee on Metropolitan Waste, has proposed a treatment plant for septic tank pumpout material and grease trap wastes, to be located at Westfield. The facility will enable the proper treatment of this material, and the discharge to sewer of the liquid effluent. This will obviate the current methods of disposal which are not environmentally acceptable, and which may give rise to odours. Read more...
