Tutunup Titanium Minerals Mine

Northern Extension to Yalyalup Minerals Sands Project

The proposal includes the expansion of a mineral sands mine including mine pits with dewatering to facilitate dry mining techniques. Existing processing facilities, services and support infrastructure will be utilised. Quarry at Lot 150 Clydesdale Road, Grass Valley (1)

Resource Group (WA) Pty Ltd proposes to construct a hard rock quarry at Lot 150 (792) Clydesdale Road, Grass valley. Holcim (Aust) Pty Ltd will be the eventual operators of the quarry. The proposal will extract, crush and screen approximately seventy thousand tonne (70,000tn) of hard rock per year with an approximate life of the quarry being 20-30 years. Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project

Sheffield Resources Limited is seeking approval to develop the Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project located on the Dampier Peninsula, approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Derby, Western Australia. The proposal is for a mineral sands operation with an estimated 40 year life of mine. Mineral product will be mined from the Thunderbird Deposit and processed onsite before being transported by road to the Derby Wharf for storage and subsequent export. Read more...

Eneabba Mineral Sand Mine

The proposal is for an open cut mine that will operate over approximately six years and will extract over 2.1 million tonnes (Mt) of heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) (mostly zircon and titanium minerals) from the IPL North mineral deposit. Ore will undergo initial onsite processing to produce HMC. Mining will commence at the most southern end of the deposit and progress to the north.
