The proponent, Mr Graeme Robertson, proposes to extract and process lime on Lot 9005 Rock Cliff Circle, Nullaki Peninsula, Albany.
The proposal is located 10 kilometres south east from the Denmark townsite. The Bibbulmun Track is located east of the proposal site in Reserve 17464, approximately 500 metres (m) from the proposed extraction area.
The proposal would include staged development of a 7.5 hectare (ha) lime pit and 2ha stockpiling area, with excavations up to 8m in depth.
The realignment and extension of Lee Road to the loading and stockpiling area will have a length of approximately 0.72 kilometres (km) within a road reserve of 20m wide. This together with the road truck access loop have a total length of 1.19 km and will require clearing of approximately 1.72 ha. The proposed haul road is located along the existing firebreak and minimal clearing is expected.
The total amount of clearing for the proposed lime pit, stockpile area, Lee Road extension and road truck access is approximately 11.22ha
