Kemerton wastewater treatment plant and treated wastewater reuse at woodlot

The proposal is for the works and operation of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and woodlot reuse scheme for the first three years. This will enable monitoring and evaluation to be undertaken to determine a longer term strategy for development and operation of the scheme. The proposed works and operation for the first three years form part of planned Stage 1 of the scheme, which will extend to the year 2010. Allawuna Class 3 Landfill Facility

The EPA has received a third party referral for the development and operation of a Class II or III Putrescible Landfill on a property known as Allawuna, within the Shire of York. The proponent has advised the EPA that only Class II waste will be accepted. The proposal is located on Lots 9926, 26934, 4869 and 5831 Great Southern Highway, Saint Ronans. The proposal has a nominal life expectancy of 37 years and will accept between 150,000 and 250,000 tonnes of waste each year. Read more...

Remediation of Landfill Site - Waste Resource Recovery Lot 20 Adelaide Street, Hazelmere

The Site is approximately 16.9 ha and is proposed to be remediated and regenerated. It was previously mined for building and construction sands and was later used as a licensed “inert” landfill. Stage 2 Cockburn Central - Drainage and Wetland Management

The proposal referred to the EPA and to which this advice applies is for Landcorp's Stormwater and Drainage Management Plan for Cockburn Central Stage 2. Stormwater management for Cockburn Central Stage 2 is proposed on Lot 9504 Beeliar Drive, which is adjacent to the main development site of Cockburn Central and contains a Resource Enhancement Wetland (REW) that is also a lake listed under the Environmental Protection (Swan Coastal Plain Lakes) Policy 1992. Wastewater Treatment and Disposal, Albany (s46) [1508]

The proposal is to raise the application rate for total nitrogen from 106 to 150 kg/ha/y to the area of irrigated trees on the tree farm. Inquiry under s46 into changes to Ministerial Statement 287 . The original proposal, assessed in 1992, calculated nitrogen loadings in the wastewater applied to the grass bays and the irrigated trees at the wastewater disposal site. Remediation of contaminated sites on Morangup Road, Toodyay

The Western Australian government has committed to remediating three contaminated sites on the west side of Morangup Road, approximately 25km south-west of Toodyay. Remediation of liquid waste disposal site, Southern River Road, Gosnells

The proposal is to manage the environmental impact of a former liquid waste disposal site in Southern River Road, Gosnells. The site includes 13 unlined lagoons constructed from sand. Discharges to the lagoons included primarily septage and brewery wastes, however unknown quantities of other wastes were also discharged. Read more...

Ellenbrook Sewer Pressure Main

Class IV Waste Disposal Cells Red Hill Waste Disposal Facility Toodyay Road, Red Hill, City of Swan

The proposal is to establish Class IV waste disposal cells at the proponent's existing Red Hill Waste Disposal Facility. These waste cells would provide for the disposal of low hazard wastes, including contaminated soils and household hazardous wastes, within the Perth metropolitan area.
