The Environmental Protection Authority has received a referral for sand mining operations within prospecting licences P 70/1596 and P70/1597. The prospecting licences are proposed to be converted to a mining lease. The application, from Allerding and Associates on behalf of Snowdale Holdings Pty Ltd, is to add four additional free range chicken sheds and associated paddocks, a manure storage shed, workers accommodation for staff, and to relocate the proposed caretakers dwelling. Warrego Energy Pty Ltd proposes to develop the West Erregulla-2 Exploration Well located approximately 50 kilometres south - east of Dongara. The proposal is a proof of concept (single well).
