The proposal involves an expansion of the existing Dampier Public Wharf to provide improved facilities capable of servicing the future needs of industry in the area. The Brookdale Liquid Waste Treatment Facility (LWTF) has been operating under environmental approvals since 1988 as a septage treatment plant.
