Beatons Creek Fresh Rock Expansion

The Proposal is located in the east Pilbara region of Western Australia within a development envelope of 718 ha and clearing no more than 270 ha. Dampier Palms - Sand Renourishment Trial

City of Karratha are proposing a trial which involves a total of 7,000m 3 of sand renourishment at Dampier Palms Beach using clean coarse sand from the Extraction Area, south of Hampton Oval. Placement of the sand will occur on the beachface, mostly between mean sea level and highest astronomical tide, at two sites either side of a minor rock control at Dampier Palms Beach. Ashburton River Sand and Shingle Excavation within Mining Leases 08/458 and 08/461

Onslow Resources Ltd proposes to mine up to 2.3 million tonnes of river sand and shingle in the Ashburton riverbed within the Minderoo Pastoral Lease. Mining will only take place when the river is dry and production will be limited by the rate that material is able to be replenished by flow events. Mining will be confined to replenishable material. The proposal is for seven borrow pits in the Millstream Chichester National Park (MCNP) where up to 118 hectares (ha) will be disturbed, of which 90 ha is within the national park and the remainder in the excised rail corridor.
