Coburn Mineral Sand Project

The proposal is to develop a mineral sand mine for the excavation and processing of a portion of the low-grade heavy mineral sand deposit, the Amy Zone, into a heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) in the Shark Bay district of Western Australia. Eneabba Mineral Sand Mine

The proposal is for an open cut mine that will operate over approximately six years and will extract over 2.1 million tonnes (Mt) of heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) (mostly zircon and titanium minerals) from the IPL North mineral deposit. Ore will undergo initial onsite processing to produce HMC. Mining will commence at the most southern end of the deposit and progress to the north. EP 413 3D Seismic Acquisition Survey

The proposal is to undertake a 3D seismic acquisition survey across a 10,600 hectare area within exploration permit area EP413. The proposal comprises the following elements: Preparation of north-south and east-west vehicle access lanes by cutting vegetation above ground level and mulching greenstock with immediate replacement of mulch in-situ (also known as “raised blade roller mulching”). Proposed Synthetic Rutile Plant Expansion, Narngulu Industrial Estate, Geraldton

AMC Mineral Sands Ltd, the mineral sands division of Renison Goldfields Consolidated Limited, proposes to expand its synthetic rutile plant on the Narngulu Industrial Estate located 11 km south-east of Geraldton. After expansion, the synthetic rutile plant will occupy some 47 hectares of the 465 hectare Estate. The expansion will increase synthetic rutile production from 112,500 to 260,000 tonnes per annum. Eneabba West Mineral Sands Project

The proposal is to extend AMC Mineral Sands' existing heavy mineral sand mining operation. The proposed extension is 5 km west of the existing operation at Eneabba, which lies 250 km north of Perth. Expansion of the mining operation will necessitate an expansion of the existing dry processing plant at Narngulu near Geraldton. lt is proposed to mine 200 million tonnes of ore over a 14 year period, resulting in a 40% increase in production at the Eneabba operations. Change of mining methods from dry mining to dredging, Eneabba South

The proposal is to change mining methods of the Eneabba south operation from dry mining to dredging. This would involve the establishment of a dredge pond in existing mining pits from which a suction cutter dredge would progress along a prescribed mining path followed by a floating wet concentrator plant.
