Amendment 56 proposes to move various lots from ‘Parks, Recreation and Drainage’ reserve
to ‘Residential R20’ zone and ‘Local Roads’ reserve; from ‘Public Purpose – Community’ to
‘Parks, Recreation and Drainage’ reserve; and from ‘Public Purpose – Community’ to the
‘Residential R20’ zone. The amendment is proposed to facilitate implementation of the
‘Shakespeare Precinct’ concept plan, including infill residential development consistent with
the City’s 2021 Local Planning Strategy.
Amendment 6 proposes to change the zoning of a portion (485m² of 1863.97m²) of Lot 326
Hartfield Street, Queens Park from “Public Open Space” to “Residential R30” and Lot 414 Godfrey
Street, Queens Park (485 m²) from “Residential R30” to “Public Open Space”.
To reclassify 24 hectares of land between Tapper Road and Midgegooroo Avenue from Urban, Industrial, Rural and Other Regional Roads to the Primary Regional Roads reservation, Railways reservation and Industrial zone. The reservations will reflect existing and intended future land use, with construction works for the roads associated with the amendment mostly completed.
Amendment 200 proposes to amend DPS 2 to align with State Planning Policy 3.6 — Infrastructure contributions and correct the current estimated and actual lot yields for the East Wanneroo Cell 2 Development Contribution Plan.
Amendment 74 proposes to rezone the above land from ‘General Agriculture’ to ‘Future Development’.
To both correct a number of minor anomalies in the scheme (to improve understanding of the relevant scheme requirements), and to amend the zoning, classification or designation of various landholdings within the City to ensure TPS 3 remains consistent with the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
Amendment 1 proposes to rezone Lots 51 and 181 Boyagarra Road, Brookton from ‘Rural’ to ‘Rural Smallholding’ to create eight rural smallholding lots. Provisions are proposed to be added into Schedule 1 – ‘Additional Site and Development’ requirements relating to the ‘Rural Smallholding’ zone to ensure no adverse impacts to the nearby amenity and the environment.
Amendment 6 proposes to insert the new definition ‘Major Event’ temporarily (two weeks either side of the Solar Eclipse event) into both section 2.3 'Additional uses in Local Reserves' (AR1) and into Schedule 2 – ‘Additional Uses (A9)’.
The Shire of Exmouth has initiated Amendment 7, ‘Additional Use (A10)’, to provide temporary options in and around the Exmouth townsite to cater for and facilitate the Total Solar Eclipse event in April 2023. The temporary use is proposed for four weeks between 6 April 2023 and 4 May 2023. The ‘Additional Use’ proposes to temporally allow holiday house, holiday accommodation, camping ground, caravan park and car park uses as discretionary in the areas mentioned above and conditions to manage development impacts.
The Western Australian Planning Commission proposes to transfer approximately 8,028 square metres of land in Cottesloe from the Public Purposes – Special Uses reservation to the Urban zone. The site is occupied by Old Cable Station, listed on the State Register of Heritage Places, and was previously used as the McCall Centre. The proposed urban zoning is to facilitate the sale of the land, which is surplus to Government requirements
