Amendment 1447 proposes to rezone from ‘Industrial’ zone to ‘Urban’ zone in the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
Amendment 1443 proposes to reclassify land currently occupied by the Edith Cowan University (ECU) from 'Public Purpose – Tertiary Education reservation' to an 'Urban' zone and 'Public Purpose - High School Reserve’ and ‘Regional Open Space- Restricted Public Access reservation’ to ‘Other Regional Roads reservation’.
The scheme will give effect to the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre Precinct
Improvement Scheme No. 1, bound by the Narrows interchange, Mounts Bay Road,
and William Street, Perth.
The amendment proposes to transfer approximately 3.22 hectares (ha) of land within
Lot 3 Midland Road, Hazelmere and an adjacent road reserve from the ‘Rural’ to the
‘Urban’ zone to facilitate future light industrial development.
