Western Australian Shark Hazard Mitigation Drum Line Program 2014-2017

The proposal involves the setting of up to 72 baited drum lines off metropolitan and south west coastal regions of Western Australia for a period of three years, beginning on 15 November 2014 and ending on 30 April 2017, after which the program will be subject to review. Sand Mining Neaves Road, Mariginiup

The Environmental Protection Authority has received a referral for sand mining operations within prospecting licences P 70/1596 and P70/1597. The prospecting licences are proposed to be converted to a mining lease. The proposed sand mining area is located wholly within State Forest 65 (Gnangara pine plantation) which is vested in the Conservation Commission of Western Australia and managed by the Department of Parks and Wildlife. Henderson Facility Land-Backed Wharf and Dredging, City of Cockburn

BAE Systems Australia Ltd is proposing dredging of approximately 1.3 hectares to -6.0m CD and construction of a 75m long land backed wharf close to the existing shoreline.
