The proposal is to develop a commercial-scale algae farm and processing facilities located near Karratha in the Shire of Roebourne. The project would involve cultivation, harvesting, separation and processing of algae. Proposal to develop a land-based marine shell breeding facility and residence on Downes Island approximately seven kilometres west of Port Hedland. Trochus shells (, Trochus niloticu, ), Pearl oysters (, Pteria penguin, ,, Pinctada margaritifera, ,, P. albina, ) and a range of other native Australian shells will be bred at the facility.
