Shark Bay Resources Maintenance Dredging

The proponent, Shark Bay Resources Pty Ltd, operates two solar salt fields and an associated port facility at Useless Loop in the Shark Bay area of Western Australia. The site is located approximately 25 kilometres west southwest of Denham. The proposal is to construct a new series (F series) of crystallizer ponds at the northern edge of the existing Shark Bay Salt crystallizers in Useless Loop, Shark Bay. The proposal is to construct and operate a barge loading facility south of Mowbowra Creek in the Shire of Exmouth for the export of limestone proposed to be mined from the nearby Whitecrest Limestone Mine. The Department of Marine and Harbours proposes to dredge the Carnarvon Boat Harbour and its approach channels and disperse of the dredge spoil within the Harbour Lease Area. Cooper No 1 Oil Exploration Permit EP 325 Emouth Gulf

Minora Resources NL has submitted a proposal to drill a third exploration oil well in its lease, EP 325, Exmouth Gulf. The well is located 13 km south east of the town of Exmouth. Minora propose to use a jack-up rig and drilling would take about 24 days to complete. Drilling is proposed during the winter of 1989. Read more...
