Borrow Pits in Millstream Chichester National Park

The proposal is to expand Fortescue Metals' current operations within the Pilbara region, Western Australia to include the development of a new iron ore project, known as the Io Project, which is located within the Nyidinghu Study Area. Pilbara Iron Ore and Infrastructure Project: East-West Railway and Mine Sites (Stage B)

The original proposal, as set out in the proponent’s PER, comprised four iron ore mines in the Pilbara region, an ore beneficiation plant, a borefield, an accommodation village and 160km of east-west railway connecting to the north-south link to Port Hedland. Macedon Gas Development

The proposal is to construct a sub sea pipeline, onshore gas treatment and compression plant, and sales gas pipeline. The subsea pipeline from the Macedon Gas Field (100 kilometres west of Onslow) connects to the onshore gas treatment and compression plant at Ashburton North (15 kilometres southwest of Onslow).
