Cooljarloo Mineral Sands Project – Osprey Expansion

Tronox Management Pty Ltd are proposing to expand the existing Cooljarloo Mineral Sands Project by mining a satellite pit named Osprey. The project is located approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Cataby. The Osprey Expansion has a disturbance footprint of 61 hectares (ha) of which 59.14 ha is native vegetation. Cooljarloo West Titanium Minerals Project

Tronox Management Pty Limited proposes to develop the Cooljarloo West Titanium Minerals Project, 30 kilometres west from Cervantes, Shire of Dandaragan. The proposal involves the dredge mining of three orebodies: Woolka, Harrier and Kestrel. The proposal will require movement of the mining dredge and ore processing plant (concentrator) from the existing Cooljarloo Mine to Cooljarloo West and back again via flotation across an open channel. Cataby Mineral Sands Project

The proposal is to construct a mineral sands mine at Cataby approximately 150 km north of Perth. The project will consist of a series of 13 open pits over approximately 25 kilometres, which will be progressively mined by dry mining techniques. Synthetic Rutile Plant, Muchea (s46) [967]

The proponent, Tiwest Joint Venture (Tiwest), seeks an amendment to the environmental conditions of Ministerial Statement 59 under Section 46 of the, Environmental Protection Act 1986, , to allow the synthetic rutile plant at Chandala an increase in nameplate production from 130,000 to 200,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of synthetic rutile. Cooljarloo Mineral Sands Project

The proposal is to establish a heavy mineral sand mining and processing operation. The proposed minesite is located at Cooljarloo near Cataby, approximately 170 km north of Perth. Initial processing at the site would produce a heavy mineral concentrate which is proposed to be transported by road to a dry processing plant at Muchea 40 km north of Perth.
