Project Proponent Tronox Management Pty Ltd Proposal description Tronox Management Pty Ltd are proposing to expand the existing Cooljarloo Mineral Sands Project by mining a satellite pit named Osprey. The project is located approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Cataby. The Osprey Expansion has a disturbance footprint of 61 hectares (ha) of which 59.14 ha is native vegetation. Dredge mining will be used to avoid pit dewatering. Water for mining and concentrating will be sourced from existing licenced bores. The final mine void will be backfilled above the groundwater table and rehabilitated.
