The proposal is to increase the capacity of Alcoa's Wagerup Refinery, located about 120 km south of Perth, from the current 1.7 Mtpa to 3.3 Mtpa of alumina, with a proportionate increase in production of bauxite from the mobile mining operations, currently located at Willowdale, about 8 km east of the refinery.
