Samson Brook Redevelopment Scheme

The proposal being assessed is for the diversion of 8 gigalitres a year (on average) (GL/yr) of unallocated water resources in the Samson Catchment to be diverted for public water supply, the construction of a pipe head dam and related infrastructure. Lake Disappointment Potash Project

Reward Minerals propose to develop the Lake Disappointment Potash Project (located approximately 320 km east of Newman). The proposal is to abstract brine from sediments and use solar evaporation ponds on the surface of the lake to create the potash product. The proposal would disturb 7,250 ha of land which includes 437 ha of vegetation, with the remainder of disturbance to the surface of Lake Disappointment. Read more...

Utah Point Berth Project (Stage B)

The Utah Point Berth Project consists of two separate stages: Stage A: Dredging and Reclamation; and Stage B: Construction and Operation. Stage A, dredging and reclamation works for the UPBP was approved by the Minister for Environment as an amendment to the existing Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) approval and managed according to the approved conditions. Western Extension to the Dardanup Mineral Sands Project to include the Burekup Mineral Sands Deposit

The proposal is to extend the existing Dardanup Mine to allow mining of the Burekup Mineral Sands Deposit located approximately 20 kilometres east of Bunbury, Western Australia. Mining is to depths up to 14 metres below ground level and will require dewatering. Read more...

Major (staged) expansion of pine log sawmill, Moore Road, Dardanup

The proposal is for a major staged expansion to Wespine's operations at the pine log sawmill, Moore Road, Dardanup. By making adjustments, replacements and additions to the existing plant and equipment and methods of operation, Wespine proposes to progressively increase the throughput of the sawmill, via a series of stages, from the current annual log input capacity of 70,000 m 3 to 400,000 m 3 over a ten year period.
