Fibre Optic Submarine Cable between Port Hedland and Darwin (Project Fitzroy)

Skircon OPCO Pty Ltd (the proponent) proposes to construct and operate an offshore submarine fibre optic cable to service the iron ore and oil and gas industry. The fibre optic cable would extend from Darwin, Northern Territory to Port Hedland, Western Australia. Austeel Pty Ltd proposes to mine iron ore from the George Palmer Orebody on a pastoral lease about 25km south of Cape Preston. Hamersley Agriculture Project

Iron Valley Above Watertable Mining Project

The proposal is to develop an iron ore mine on the Iron Valley tenement located in the Shire of East Pilbara approximately 90 kilometres north-west of Newman.
