The proposal is to extend Roe Highway from South Street in Canning Vale to connect to Kwinana Freeway in Leeming over a distance of approximately 4.5 km. The proponent proposes to mine up to 10.1 Mtpa of magnetite ore to produce 6 Mtpa of ore concentrate over a 15 year mine life. The magnetite concentrate would be conveyed to Port Hedland from the mine via a 110 km slurry pipeline located alongside the existing Pilbara Energy Pipeline (PEPL).
