Environmental Guidance for Planning and Development (GS 33)

The main purposes of this document are:

  • to provide information and advice to assist participants in land use planning and development processes to protect, conserve and enhance the environment, and
  • to describe the processes the EPA may apply under the EP Act to land use planning and development in Western Australia, and in particular to describe the environmental impact assessment (EIA) process applied by the EPA to schemes.

The content of this guideline has not been updated to reflect the EPA’s revised policy framework.
