More than 191 hectares within Bayonet Head will be developed by six land owners, including Lowe Pty Ltd, the Housing Authority and the City of Albany, with more than 63 hectares reserved for conservation.
EPA Chairman Paul Vogel said the strategic environmental assessment allowed the proposal’s overall plan to be examined.
Dr Vogel said the EPA welcomed the proponent’s commitment to ensure a section of land was put aside for conservation purposes.
