Advice to protect unique Perth wetlands

The EPA has released public advice to protect of one the most valuable wetlands on the Swan Coastal Plain.

The report on the Greater Brixton Street Wetlands, produced under Section 16 of the Environmental Protection Act 1986, outlines the environmental values of the wetlands and will be of benefit to proponents, planners, developers, regulators and landholders.

The wetlands, within the cities of Gosnells and Kalamunda, are home to more than 650 native plant species and are considered one of the State’s most unique examples of biodiversity.
