The City of Swan proposes to rezone the Scheme Maps so that the Aircraft Noise Exposure Special Control Area for Perth Airport is consistent with the endorsed 2020 Perth Airport Australian Noise Exposure Forecast (ANEF) contour mapping for land affected by the 20 and above ANEF noise contour. The rezoning is proposed to be consistent with State Planning Policy 5.1 ‘Land Use Planning in Vicinity of Perth Airport’.
The City of Canning proposes to reclassify 0.06 hectares (ha) of Lot 92 Coulson Way Canning Vale from ‘Public Open Space’ reserve to the ‘General Industry’ zone, to enable sale or lease of the land. Lot 92 is zoned ‘Industrial’ in the Metropolitan Region Scheme and is surrounded by ‘General Industry’ zoned lots and the Roe Highway Primary Regional Road reservation.
The City of Stirling proposes various changes to its scheme text and maps. Changes include
amending the scheme maps to correct errors and remove the Development zone where it is no
longer required.
The City of Stirling proposes to modify the Development Contribution Plan for Rights of Way Improvement Works in Schedule 11A of Local Planning Scheme No.3. The amendment will exempt certain works from requiring contributions, and also add and remove some laneways from the plan.
The City of Bayswater proposes to reclassify Lot 539 and a portion of Lot 211 Swan Bank Road,
Maylands from 'Medium and High Density Residential R40' zone to 'Local Public Open Space'
reserve and to amend the Scheme Maps accordingly.
The Town of East Fremantle proposes to modify the 'Additional Use' provisions relating to Lots
14-19 Canning Highway, East Fremantle to increase residential development from R40 to R80
with specific development controls. A portion of land will also be designated for road widening
Amendment 117 proposes to incorporate infrastructure development contribution requirements into the Scheme for the area known as ‘West of Rail’ precinct. The amendment will also designate the ‘West of Rail’ precinct as ‘Development Contribution Area 8’ on the Special Control Area Map 3.
The City of Swan proposes to rezone Lots 189 and 190 Adelaide Street, Hazelmere from General Rural to Light Industrial, with a part of Lot 190 to be reserved as Local Road.
The City of Wanneroo proposes to align its District Planning Scheme 2 with the Model Provisions for local planning schemes included in the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.
The amendment involves changes to the overall arrangement of the scheme text, and aligning the Scheme’s existing zones and land uses to those of the Model Scheme Text. Current scheme provisions and development requirements relating to each zone, including special provisions where relevant, are to be carried forward to the appropriate schedules.
The City of Perth proposes to introduce several redevelopment precincts into its City Planning
Scheme 2 (CPS 2). The redevelopment precincts are currently under the planning control of
the Central Perth Redevelopment Scheme, with Development WA as the responsible authority.
CPS 2 Amendment 46 is a part of the process known as Normalisation, which is the transition
of planning control from Development WA as a redevelopment authority to a local government
and the WAPC.
CPS 2 is the City of Perth’s primary local planning scheme and operates in conjunction with Local
Planning Scheme 26 (LPS 26) which provides for land uses and built form guidance for
normalised redevelopment areas. The existing zoning and development controls under the
Central Perth Redevelopment Scheme will be transferred to CPS 2 and LPS 26 when the
redevelopment scheme ceases to operate.
