The amendment proposes to rezone the above lots from the ‘Urban Development’ zone to the ‘Light Industry’ zone and amend the Scheme Map accordingly
The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) has initiated Amendment 1395/57 to the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) to rezone land within Pt Lots 23 and 72 Eveline Road Middle Swan to enable a change in land use from the current brickworks to urban development. The proposed amendment area is 24.32ha and includes rezoning from ‘Rural’ and ‘Industrial’ to ‘Urban’, and rezoning from ‘Rural’ and ‘Industrial’ to ‘Parks and Recreation’ of land adjacent to the Swan River.
The scheme gives effect to Improvement Plan 55: Bennet Springs East Area, and provides a statutory instrument to implement the strategic planning framework for Bennet Springs East, including commercial and residential development.
The amendment proposes to update to the Shire’s existing Local Planning Scheme 9
(LPS 9) to follow the model provisions as per the Planning and Development (Local
Planning Schemes) Regulation 2015, insert Gingin Brook provision into Special
Control Area No. 1, and minor mapping changes in order to accurately reflect the
updated reserves and zones, additional uses and rezoning of special use zones.
Introduce a General Industry, Strategic Infrastructure and Special Control area to facilitate the development of renewable energy facilities (introduced as an additional use) and workforce accommodation (Hyenergy proposal).
The amendment proposes to rezone Lots 337-342 Forrest Street and Lots 343-346
Havelock Street, from ‘Residential’ (R10) to ‘Light Industry’, and to amend the scheme maps accordingly.
Local Planning Scheme (LPS) 8 represents an update to the Shire of Ashburton’s (the Shire) existing LPS 7, to ensure consistency with the requirements of the Model Provisions at Schedule 1 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015, the Shire’s Local Planning Strategy, and relevant state planning legislation and policies.
The LPS proposes to rezone the amendment area from ‘Rural’ to ‘Rural Residential’ and ‘Environmental Conservation’, amend the scheme map accordingly and insert new sub-clauses in clause 4.36 to amend the zoning table to allow a Residential – single house and Residential – Ancillary dwelling to be a Discretionary ‘D’ use within the Environmental Conservation Zone with applicable development provisions
The purpose of this amendment is to rezone Lot 510 Willersdorf Road, Exmouth from the ‘Public Open Space’ reservation to the ‘Special Use 11 (SU11)’ zone and to amend Schedule 4 – Special Use Zones to include SU11 and relevant conditions.
The amendment proposes the rezoning the site from the ‘Rural’ zone to the
‘Special Use Zone2’, inserting provisions into ‘Table 5 – Special Use Zones
in Scheme Area’ and amending the Scheme Map accordingly
