The amendment proposes to rezone Lot 564 Garvey Road West from the ‘Rural’ to
‘Rural Residential’ zone and amend the scheme map accordingly.
The amendment proposes to transfer approximately 111 hectares (ha) of land from the ‘Regional Open Space’ (ROS) reservation and ‘Rural – Water Protection’ zone to the ‘Urban’ zone and 0.06 ha from the ‘Rural – Water Protection’ zone to the ROS and ‘Water Catchments’ reservations in the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
The City of Bayswater has prepared Local Planning Scheme 25 (LPS 25) as an update to the City’s existing Town Planning Scheme 24 to ensure consistency with the requirements of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 (the Regulations), the City’s Local Planning Strategy, and relevant state planning legislation and policies.
The amendment proposes to extend ‘Additional Use 13’ (A13 – ‘Educational Establishment’) over part Lot 104 Dale Road, Middle Swan, and to amend the A13 scheme text under ‘Schedule 2 – Additional Uses’, accordingly.
Amendment 1446 proposes to rezone Part Lot 9004 McDonal Road in Baldivis from ‘Rural’ zone to ‘Urban’ zone in the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
Amendment 1445 proposes to rezone the land from ‘Rural’ to ‘Urban’ under the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
Amendment 1444 proposes to rezone and reclassify Lots 1 and 2 Helena Valley Road in Helena Valley from ‘Rural’ zone to ‘Urban’ zone and ‘Regional Open Space’ (ROS) reserve in the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
Amendment 8 proposes to rezone lots from ‘Tourism - RAC0’ to ‘Residential R60’, ‘Residential R80’ and ‘Mixed-Use Commercial R80’, and to adjust the restricted use provisions and development requirements of the lots.
The amendment proposes to include ‘Telecommunications infrastructure’ as a specific land use category and make this a permitted ‘P’ use in all industrial zones and discretionary ‘D’ use in all other zones, to ensure the planning scheme is consistent with State Planning Policy (SPP) 5.2 - Telecommunications Infrastructure.
Amendment 2 proposes to transfer land in Roelands from ‘Priority Agriculture’, ‘Rural’ and ‘Local Road’ to ‘Rural Residential’ and ‘Public Open Space (POS)’. The permitted Lot sizes within the ‘Rural Residential’ zone are 1 to 4 ha. The amendment relates to Stage 1 of the Treendale Structure Plan Policy Area 3B that was approved by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) on 6 April 2023, prior to the initiation of this amendment.
