The amendment proposes to amend Local Planning Scheme 1 Schedule 7 Special provisions relating to development on land zoned ‘Rural Residential Zone’ to include Lot 201 Burnside Road, Burnside with specific conditions and requirements for the purpose of enabling subdivision of the amendment area. The scheme map will be amended accordingly to reflect the inclusion of Lot 201 as R-R 44 in Schedule 7.
The LPS Amendment proposes to reclassify ‘Community’ land use category from ‘P’
(preferred use) to ‘C’ (contemplated use) across five precincts.
The Amendment proposes to reclassify ‘Community and Cultural’ land use group from ‘P’ (preferred use) to ‘C’ (contemplated use) across six precincts.
The amendment proposes to introduce Additional Use No. 7 (A7) to Schedule 4 of the Scheme, to make ‘Motor Vehicle Repair Station’ a discretionary land use at Lot 48 (No. 37) Jephson Street, Greenbushes
The amendment proposes to remove the permissibility of the ‘Service Station’ land use in the ‘Mixed Use’, ‘Local Centre’, ‘District Centre’ and ‘Regional Centre’ zones. The amendment also proposes to insert scheme text to prevent the ‘Service Station’ land use class in areas adjoining or adjacent to ‘Residential’ or ‘Mixed Use’ zones.
The amendment proposes multiple changes to the Scheme, including insertion of new provisions, modification of residential density coding and changes to the Scheme map to support the implementation of the proposed Kardinya District Centre Activity Centre Plan.
The amendment proposes to rezone the subject site from ‘Residential’ zone to ‘Public Purposes - Police Station’ reserve.

Amendment 8 is an omnibus amendment which proposes a number of revisions and corrections to the Scheme maps. These largely relate to changes to reflect existing land uses, correct errors and to remove the abolished Public Drinking Water Source Areas (PDWSA) of Yerina Springs, Northampton and Port Gregory from the maps.
