The amendment proposes several changes, including to rezone various lots within Forrestdale Townsite East Urban Precinct (the precinct) from ‘Rural Living 2’ to ‘Urban Development’, amend ‘Schedule 8’ to give effect to ‘Development Area No. 73’ (DA 73), amend ‘Special Control Area Map 1’ by deleting ‘Sewerage Treatment Plant’ on Lots 510 and 5060 Waterworks Road, Haynes, and amend ‘Special Control Area Map 3’ by inserting ‘DA 73’.
The EPA acknowledges that an area of ‘Public Purposes – Drainage’ reservation within the precinct is proposed to be transferred to the ‘Urban Development’ zone as part of the final adoption of the amendment.
Amendment 60 is an omnibus amendment that proposes numerous modifications to the scheme as an interim step to the preparation of a new local planning scheme. The amendment proposes to: introduce rezoning and scheme map modifications; introduce new land use permissibilities (including Service Stations and Renewable Energy Facility); introduce new development provisions; ensure consistency with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 and the addition of supplemental provisions; and amend minor errors and omissions in the Scheme text and maps. The amendment includes transfer of part of the Murujuga National Park on the Burrup Peninsula (the Peninsula) and parts of the Dampier Archipelago Islands (the Islands) from ‘Public purposes – Telecommunications’ reserve, ‘Strategic Industry’, ‘Infrastructure’ and ‘No Zone’ to ‘Conservation, Recreation and Natural Landscapes’.
The amendment proposes to extend ‘Additional Use 13 (Schedule 2)’ and modify ‘Restricted Use 15 (Schedule 3)’, to enable ‘Transport Depot (A)’ as a future land use over Lot 812 Vale Road, Hazelmere.
The amendment proposes to rezone Lot 709 Armadale Road, Banjup from the ‘Rural
– Water Source Protection’ zone to the ‘Urban Deferred’ zone, to enable future urban
land uses (including residential development).
The amendment is to rezone approximately 16.48 ha from ‘Rural’ zone to the ‘Urban’
zone and ‘Parks and Recreation’ reservation in the Metropolitan Region Scheme
(MRS)
Local Planning Scheme (LPS) 4 represents a consolidation and update of the Shire of
Chapman Valley’s (the Shire) existing LPS 3. The scheme proposes to ensure that the
scheme text is updated in accordance with the recent updates to the Planning and
Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.
The amendment proposes administrative changes to LPS 2, including: amending
several land use permissibility to enable hosted and un-hosted short-term rental
accommodation (STRA), introduce new exemptions for certain developments,
modifying and deleting clauses and provisions to reflect model scheme text, amending
residential density (‘R’) codes, and correcting and/or updating scheme maps.
Shire of Murray Local Planning Scheme 4 (LPS 4) Amendment 322 proposes to rezone land within the Pinjarra Secondary Centre from various zones and reserves to Pinjarra Centre Zone and Environmental Conservation Zone, to also reflect the draft Pinjarra Precinct Structure Plan. The amendment also introduces new land uses definitions, a Pinjarra Centre Zoning Table and proposes several modifications to the LPS 4 text to be more consistent with the requirements of the Model Provisions at Schedule 1 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.
The City of Karratha proposes Amendment 61 to rezone Lot 1 Dampier Road Gap
Ridge from ‘Rural’ to ‘Industrial Development’.
The amendment proposes several text changes to the scheme, including inserting a new ‘Residential Building’ land use and associated permissibility in ‘Table 3 – Zoning Table’, deleting several redundant clauses, and amending provisions within ‘Special Control Areas’ (SCA) and schedules.
