The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River proposes to translate land use controls recommended by the Margaret River Industrial Park Structure Plan into its local planning scheme to give the land use controls statutory force and effect. The proposed scheme provisions specify areas within the site which can be used for ‘light’, ‘general’ or ‘buffer’ industry.
Amendment 6 proposes to rezone Lot 9001 from Rural to Industrial, amend the Scheme Map accordingly and amend the Scheme Text to consider effluent disposal prior to any further subdivision of Industrial zoned land.
The City of Armadale proposes 25 amendments to the Scheme map to zone land to align with the Activity Centre Code Plan of the Armadale Strategic Metropolitan City Centre Structure Plan. This will facilitate a greater diversity of uses such as apartment and mixed-use type development.
Amendment 112 proposes to implement the planning scheme modifications recommended by the Main Street Urban Design Strategy.
Amendment 13 proposes to rezone Lot 115 Padbury Street, Moora from Rural Residential to Industrial zone. Rezoning will facilitate development of an agricultural and construction machinery dealership.
Amendment 132 proposes to amend the ‘Special Use Zone 6’ map and text to reflect the Environmental Protection (Western Swamp Tortoise Habitat) Policy 2011 policy area and requirements, with most lots be rezoned from ‘General Rural’ to the ‘Special Use Zone 6’. Lot 51 Almeria Parade, Lot 2 and 23 Apple Street and Lot 43 Great Northern Highway, Upper Swan have been omitted from the ‘Special Use Zone 6’ and will remain in the ‘General Rural’ zone.
Amendment 111 proposes to introduce a Heritage List into the Scheme.
Amendment 152 proposes to delete provisions of Local Planning Scheme No.2 that are now replaced by the deemed provisions in Schedule 2 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015.
