The amendment proposes to rezone Lot 106 (Reserve 26242), Newton Street,
Dwellingup from ‘Public Purposes’ to ‘Residential’ (R10), and amend the Scheme Maps
accordingly.
The amendment proposes to modify Schedule A of Local Planning Scheme No. 3 by
deleting Clause 61(1)(q) “the removal of a tree unless it is identified on the significant
tree register” as an exemption for development approval. The deletion of this provision
would allow Draft Local Planning Policy 43: Greening- Tree Preservation on Private
Property (LPP43) to take effect once finalised following public consultation. The LPP43
will introduce broader tree protection mechanisms for trees on private land.
The amendment proposes to rezone Lot 9000 Hidden Valley Road and Brennand
Road, Dongara from ‘Residential R12.5’ to ‘Rural Residential’.
The amendment proposes to rezone a portion of Lot 1 Napier Road, Oakley from
‘Industrial’ to ‘Rural’ and ‘Industrial Development’, respectively.
The scheme will give effect to the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre Precinct
Improvement Scheme No. 1, bound by the Narrows interchange, Mounts Bay Road,
and William Street, Perth.
The amendment proposes to rezone Lots 1, 99 and 720 Santa Gertrudis Drive, Lower Chittering to ‘Special Use 6’ (SU6) by amending ‘Schedule 5 – Special Use’, and to insert a new land use definition for ‘Student Accommodation’ in ‘Schedule No. 1 – Land Use Definitions’. The amendment will consolidate the area into one education establishment zone to facilitate future expansion of education uses.
The Local planning Scheme (LPS) amendment proposes to rezone Lot 384 Marshall Road, Argyle from ‘General Agriculture’ to ‘Rural Residential’, and to remove the ‘Development Investigation Area 1’ designation and replace it with ‘Rural Residential 2 (RR2)’ and include associated special provisions in ‘Schedule 2’ of the scheme text.
The amendment proposes to rezone a portion of Lot 6 and Lot 9001 Midland Road,
Helena Valley from ‘Rural Residential’ to ‘Development - DA1’. The proposed
‘Development – DA1’ zoning requires the preparation of a structure plan.
Local Planning Scheme (LPS) 4 represents a consolidation and update of the Shire of
Chapman Valley’s (the Shire) existing LPS 3. The scheme proposes to ensure that the
scheme text is updated in accordance with the recent updates to the Planning and
Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.
The amendment proposes administrative changes to LPS 2, including: amending
several land use permissibility to enable hosted and un-hosted short-term rental
accommodation (STRA), introduce new exemptions for certain developments,
modifying and deleting clauses and provisions to reflect model scheme text, amending
residential density (‘R’) codes, and correcting and/or updating scheme maps.
