Mount Gibson Range Mine Operations - Iron Hill Deposits

The proponent, Mount Gibson Mining Limited, proposes to mine hematite ore from the Iron Hill and Iron Hill South Deposits. The Iron Hill Deposits are part of the Mt Gibson Range, which is located approximately 270 kilometres (km) east-south-east of Geraldton. Jack Hills Expansion Project

The proposal consists of a designated mining area containing two open pits, integrated waste and tailings landform, ore beneficiating plant and workshops, a combined gas pipeline spur and water pipe corridor, a services (possible water, gas, power transmission) corridor to Weld Range, the Byro Sub-basin Borefield and the Murchison Palaeochannel Borefield, a power station, airstrip, village and ancillaries. Magellan Lead Carbonate Project, Wiluna

The proposal is to develop an open-cut lead carbonate mine and processing facilities approximately 30 kilometres west of the Wiluna townsite to produce a lead concentrate. The lead concentrates will be refined at the Wiluna minesite to produce lead metal, or alternatively will be transported by road to the Geraldton Port and exported. Jack Hills Iron Ore Project

The proposal is to develop an iron ore (haematite) mine at Jack Hills approximately 100 km west of Meekatharra. The project will have a lifespan of approximately seven years (five years of mining, two years of closure activities) and will be a contract mining operation.
