Southern Cross Goldfields Limited proposes to develop an open pit gold mine operation and gold processing plant 150 kilometres north of Southern Cross. Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd (KCGM) proposes to mine for gold at the Hidden Secret ore body. Hidden secret is an underground ore body located east of Williamstown, 350 metres east of the Mt Charlotte underground mine.
