The proposal is to import a dense grade of ammonium nitrate (known as "NITRAM"') from the UK in quantities of 2,000 tonnes at a frequency of three times per year through the Port of Esperance. The product would be transported in 1 ton bulka bags. Marine Industries Limited has, for the past five years, farmed trout and salmon at three locations on the Treen Brook, Pemberton.
