Proposed Forest Management Plan 2004-2013

Horticultural development on 200 hectares of land - Sussex Location 4158 Governor Broome Road; Shire of Augusta-Margaret River

The proposal is to develop five 40ha centre pivot irrigation sites. The five centre pivot sites, in addition to an existing centre pivot site, will result in a total of six centre pivot sites on the property with a total area of 240ha. Bunbury Harbour and City development - Marlston Hill site (s46)

The site has been used previously for industrial purposes including storage of petroleum products, railway workshops, a sewage treatment plant and grain storage facilities. Remlap Ranch Resort, Myalup

The proposal is for the development of an equestrian oriented ranch resort of 64 strata lots of various sizes for residential, camp accommodation, equestrian and tennis facilities and short stay chalet accommodation. The short stay chalet accommodation is to be centred around an artificially created lagoon. Environmental Assessment of Proposals to change Forest Management in the South West

This is the Environmental Protection Authority's environmental assessment and recommendations to the Minister for the Environment on the environmental acceptability of forest management proposals by the Department of Conservation and Land Management (CALM) for 1992 onwards. CALM is now the direct manager of timber harvesting rather than, as previously, the controller of timber companies. The last review by EPA was in 1987 when five to ten year management plans were examined. Read more...
