Report key to independent advice
During the 2023–24 financial year, the EPA provided independent environmental advice to government on 23 development proposals, while also developing guidance to improve environmental outcomes.
The EPA’s Annual Report, presented to the Western Australian Parliament, outlines the EPA’s operations as governed by the Environmental Protection Act 1986. These disclosures demonstrate the EPA’s ability to provide independent, robust and transparent advice to ensure intergenerational protection of Western Australia’s significant environmental assets.
