The Western Australian Planning Commission proposes to rezone Lots 2 and 2083 Great
Eastern Highway, Lots 10 and the Rural zone portion of 2348 Cole Road and Lot 108 Pearce Street, Swayers Valley, and an area of local road reserve from the Rural to Urban.

The Shire of Leonora has initiated Local Planning Scheme 2 (LPS 2) to replace the existing Town Planning Scheme 1, retaining the same jurisdictional boundary. Amendment 79 proposes updating references to the R-Codes, fixing typographical errors,
updating legislation references, minor changes to land use permissibility, and minor alterations to the scheme map.

The purpose of the amendment is to transfer portions of the existing Vincent Street Road
Reservation in Leederville from the Other Regional Roads (ORR) reservation zone to the Urban zone and Parks and Recreation - Restricted Public Access reservation. This amendment will rationalise the reservation of Vincent Street in Leederville to the existing constructed road footprint to facilitate future development.
