The Western Australian Planning Commission proposes to zone and reserve land located
within the Midland Railway Workshops Redevelopment Area and currently under the planning control of the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority. The amendment will facilitate the re-establishment of the Midland Railway Workshops Redevelopment Area into the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
The City of Karratha has initiated Amendment 50 to rezone Lot 500 (Number 26) Padbury
Way, Bulgarra from 'Local Scheme Reserve - Public Purposes: Community' to 'Residential 40'.
Amendment 15 proposes to add a Special Use to Lot 1343 (503) Northam-Pithara Road,
Irishtown for the purposes of an abattoir and approved ancillary uses; to delete the existing Special Control Area - buffer from the Scheme maps; and to amend the Scheme Map accordingly. An abattoir is already operating on the site; and the amendment proposes to correct an administrative error where the subject land was previously mapped with a Special Use during the gazettal of LPS 6 but textual provisions were errantly omitted from the Scheme.
The WAPC proposes a number of changes to the Ashburton North Strategic Industrial Area
(ANSIA) Improvement Scheme. The changes aim to facilitate the development of the second stage of the ANSIA
The City of Fremantle proposes to rezone Lot 8 (Nos. 9-15) Quarry Street Fremantle from
'Residential' with a density coding of R25 to 'Mixed Use' with a density coding of R80, and to amend the density coding of Lots 1 and 2 (No. 7) Quarry Street (zoned 'Mixed Use') from RAC3 to R80. It is proposed to update Scheme text to include development provisions for the site.
Amendment 1356/57 proposes to re-establish the various zones and reservations in the
central districts of the MRS in the cities of Perth, Subiaco and Vincent and the Town of Cambridge. The proposed zones and reservations are consistent with the existing land uses and MRA statutory planning for the areas.
The City of Bunbury proposes administrative amendments to the Scheme text, and minor
Scheme map modifications.
Amendment 177 proposes to extend Additional Use across the whole of Lot 515 and Lot 21 Great Northern Highway, Midland and add 'Medical Centre' to the list of Additional Uses.
Amendment 4 proposes to recode Lots 44-48 Castle Street, Bunbury from R20/40 to R20/R60 and to insert Additional Site and Development Requirements into Schedule 3 of the Scheme.
