Proposal description: 

The proposal is for the construction and operation of a 140 megawatt (MW) thermal power station and associated supporting infrastructure located directly east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

The proposed power station will supply electricity to Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM) and connect to the South West Interconnected System (SWIS).  The power station will be capable of operating using natural gas, distillate and future alternative fuel sources such as bioderived, synthetic and hydrogen-enriched fuels. The proposal will require 44.24 hectares of disturbance within a 101.34 hectare development envelope.
