The Environmental Protection Authority has completed its assessment of the application to amend the Environmental Protection (Western Power Transmission Substation Noise Emissions) Approval 2005 made by Western Power to the Minister for Environment on 21 September 2011.

The application was referred to the EPA for assessment under regulation 17(9) of the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997.
