The proposal is to extract about 3.7 million tonnes of ore from about 30 hectares of land at Jangardup each year, to produce 271,000 tonnes of heavy mineral concentrate for trucking to Bunbury annually. The proposed mine life is eight years. Mining would be by a floating dredge feeding a wet separator. On average, some 56 truck trips (28 full, 28 return) per day would be required to transport the product to Bunbury.
