The proposal is to expand the Dampier port facilities including:

  • the improvement and extension of the current Dampier Cargo Wharf;
  • the construction of a new jetty and associated shipping infrastructure; and
  • the dredging, loading and disposal of up to 4.5 million cubic metres (m3) of sediments to the Northern Spoil Ground and East Lewis Island Spoil Ground from the deepening of the harbour area and the associated approach channel.
