Report highlights independent advice
Conducting environmental impact assessments (EIA) and making recommendations to the Minister for the Environment remained front and centre of the EPA’s core business in 2024-25.
The EPA’s Annual Report, presented to the Western Australian Parliament, outlines the Authority’s operations as governed by the Environmental Protection Act 1986. It demonstrates the EPA’s ability to provide independent, robust and transparent advice to ensure intergenerational protection of Western Australia’s significant environmental assets.
The Annual Report also highlights the important role the EPA played during 2024-25 in guiding strategic environmental policy, conducting EIA and advising the Minister for the Environment on strategic matters.
