This is the Environmental Protection Authority's environmental assessment and recommendations to the Minister for the Environment on the environmental acceptability of forest management proposals by the Department of Conservation and Land Management (CALM) for 1992 onwards.

CALM is now the direct manager of timber harvesting rather than, as previously, the controller of timber companies. The last review by EPA was in 1987 when five to ten year management plans were examined.
