The proposal is to to increase the production of Kingstream Resources' recently assessed Mid West Iron & Steel Project Geraldton Steel Plant (GSP), at the Narngulu Industrial Estate south-east of Geraldton, from 1.0 Mt/a to 2.4 Mt/a.

Changes are also proposed to the product, specifically that slab steel be produced rather than rolled coil, with resulting changes in the requirement for major plant.
