The Shire of Leonora has initiated Local Planning Scheme 2 (LPS 2) to replace the existing Town Planning Scheme 1, retaining the same jurisdictional boundary. LPS 2 is largely comprised of administrative changes to align with Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015. Amendment 79 proposes updating references to the R-Codes, fixing typographical errors,
updating legislation references, minor changes to land use permissibility, and minor alterations to the scheme map.
The purpose of the amendment is to transfer portions of the existing Vincent Street Road
Reservation in Leederville from the Other Regional Roads (ORR) reservation zone to the Urban zone and Parks and Recreation - Restricted Public Access reservation. This amendment will rationalise the reservation of Vincent Street in Leederville to the existing constructed road footprint to facilitate future development.
