Amendment 36 proposes to keep a portion of the site under the “Special Use (SU23)” zone and to rezone the remaining portion to “Highway Commercial”.
For the portion remaining SU23, the Amendment proposes to delete the existing uses of ‘Aged Persons Village’ and ‘Nursing Home’ and to extend the range of uses, to include Child Care Premises, Community Purpose, Recreation-Private and Veterinary Centre.
The City of Albany proposes to rezone Lot 5780 Down Road South, Drome from Priority Agriculture to Special Use No. 26 to facilitate the development of the Albany Motorsport Park. Development and use of the Motorsport Park is required to be in accordance with the conditions specified in Schedule 4 of the scheme, the Albany Motorsport Park Precinct Plan and approved management plans for Noise, Water, Hydrocarbons, Waste, Dust, Acid Sulphate Soils, Protected Exclusion Zone, Decommissioning and Construction.
Transfer of approximately 5,515 hectares of land from a local reserve – Recreation to the Rural zone.
Transferring approximately 10.2 hectares of land in High Wycombe from the ‘Urban’ zone and ‘Rural’ zones to the ‘Parks and Recreation’ reservation in the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS). The amendment also proposes to zone a small ‘Urban’ area for future Public Open Space.
The EPA will provide strategic advice to the Minister for Environment on the potential cumulative impacts of the activities and developments proposed for Exmouth Gulf. The assessment periods for Subsea 7‘s Learmonth Pipeline Fabrication Facility proposal and the Shire of Exmouth’s rezoning proposal will be extended so that the findings of this environmental study can be fully considered.
The Shire of Exmouth proposes Amendment 1 to rezone part of lots 223, 234, 235 and 1586 Minilya-Exmouth Road, Learmonth from 'Rural' and 'Foreshore Reserve' to 'Special Use 10' to facilitate the development of a pipeline fabrication facility (Learmonth Pipeline Fabrication Facility). The scheme amendment is being assessed on aspects that relate to the proposed change in zoning of the land.
The public review process for the scheme amendment is managed by the Shire of Exmouth and the review period will run from 2 October 2019 until the 30 November 2019. Amendment 13 proposes to rezone Lot 115 Padbury Street, Moora from Rural Residential to Industrial zone. Rezoning will facilitate development of an agricultural and construction machinery dealership.
The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River proposes to add provisions to Schedule 7 of its scheme text to allow for the subdivision of 2 adjacent Rural Residential zoned lots into 1 ha lots. At present the minimum lot size permitted is 3 ha.
The Shire of Leonora has initiated Local Planning Scheme 2 (LPS 2) to replace the existing Town Planning Scheme 1, retaining the same jurisdictional boundary. LPS 2 is largely comprised of administrative changes to align with Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015. Scheme map and text amendments to include two rezonings to allow a change in land use, and four rezonings to reflect current land use.
The proposed scheme amendment proposes to rezone Lot 221 Lakes Road and parts of Lot
400 Paterson Road, Nambeelup from Rural to Industrial.
The WAPC proposes to rezone the eastern portion of Lot 799 Wilkins Street, Bellevue from
Rural to Urban to facilitate future residential subdivision following structure planning and subdivision approval.
