Amendment 202 proposes to rezone land from ‘Industrial Development’ to ‘General Industrial’ and
‘Service Industrial’, and ‘General Industrial’ to ‘Service Industrial’, along with the introduction of
‘Additional Uses’. Amendment 202 also proposes rezoning of land from the ‘Industrial Development’
zone to ‘Local Scheme Reserve – Public Use’, and from ‘Industrial Development’ to ‘Conservation’.
Scheme text amendments related to land use permissibility are also proposed.
Amendment 0068/57 proposes to rezone a portion of Lot 61 Coalfields Road, Roelands from the ‘Rural’ zone to ‘Urban Deferred’ under the GBRS. This portion of land is proposed to be amalgamated with Lot 42 Government Road.
Amendment 19 proposes to insert ‘Service Commercial’ zone into the Scheme and rezone Lot 889 Albany Highway, Williams from ‘Rural’ to ‘Service Commercial’ and ‘Industry’ zones.
The proposed Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) amendment aims to rationalise and update zones and reservations at 25 locations in the Central Districts of Perth. The amendment is considered a minor amendment, as the proposals contained do not constitute a substantial or regionally significant change to the MRS.
Amendment 17 proposes to recode Lots 1-4 and Lots 47-51 Coolgardie Avenue, Ascot from
Residential R20 to Residential R20/40 and amend the Scheme text and map to reflect
Amendment 15.
Amendment 7 proposes to modify the Zoning Table permissibility of ‘Garden Centre’ in the
‘Rural’ zone.
Amendment 56 proposes to move various lots from ‘Parks, Recreation and Drainage’ reserve
to ‘Residential R20’ zone and ‘Local Roads’ reserve; from ‘Public Purpose – Community’ to
‘Parks, Recreation and Drainage’ reserve; and from ‘Public Purpose – Community’ to the
‘Residential R20’ zone. The amendment is proposed to facilitate implementation of the
‘Shakespeare Precinct’ concept plan, including infill residential development consistent with
the City’s 2021 Local Planning Strategy.
To reclassify 24 hectares of land between Tapper Road and Midgegooroo Avenue from Urban, Industrial, Rural and Other Regional Roads to the Primary Regional Roads reservation, Railways reservation and Industrial zone. The reservations will reflect existing and intended future land use, with construction works for the roads associated with the amendment mostly completed.
Amendment 74 proposes to rezone the above land from ‘General Agriculture’ to ‘Future Development’.
To both correct a number of minor anomalies in the scheme (to improve understanding of the relevant scheme requirements), and to amend the zoning, classification or designation of various landholdings within the City to ensure TPS 3 remains consistent with the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
