Amendment 55 proposes to insert an ‘Additional Use Site No.10’ (AU 10) to the LPS 8 text (and modify the scheme map), with the Special Condition that Clause 6.3.1 (b) no development is permitted which would attract persons, other than those working in the adjacent strategic industrial area of the scheme does not apply to the AU10 area. The amendment is proposed to provide clarity to decision makers to enable consideration of future development within the amendment area without demonstrating an actual connection to the Maitland Strategic Industrial Area workforce at any one point in time. No additional uses for zoned land are proposed as part of this amendment.
The Shire of Irwin proposes to amend Local Planning Scheme No. 5 to transfer approximately
3.37 hectares of land from the Special Residential and Light Industry zones to the Special Use
zone. The scheme amendment is to facilitate development of a roadhouse with supplementary
uses and services.
Amendment 189 proposes to rezone Lot 716 Centaurus Street Rockingham from ‘Civic and
Cultural’ (designated for the purposes of Kindergarten) to ‘Residential (R20) with an Additional
Use – Child Care Premises. The existing building on Lot 716 is listed in the City’s Municipal
Heritage Inventory.
The Shire of Dardanup has initiated LPS 9 to replace the existing Town Planning Scheme 3.
The Western Australian Planning Commission proposes to rezone the above land (12.42 hectares) from the Rural zone to the Urban zone.
Amendment 6 proposes to insert the new definition ‘Major Event’ temporarily (two weeks either side of the Solar Eclipse event) into both section 2.3 'Additional uses in Local Reserves' (AR1) and into Schedule 2 – ‘Additional Uses (A9)’.
The Shire of Exmouth has initiated Amendment 7, ‘Additional Use (A10)’, to provide temporary options in and around the Exmouth townsite to cater for and facilitate the Total Solar Eclipse event in April 2023. The temporary use is proposed for four weeks between 6 April 2023 and 4 May 2023. The ‘Additional Use’ proposes to temporally allow holiday house, holiday accommodation, camping ground, caravan park and car park uses as discretionary in the areas mentioned above and conditions to manage development impacts.
The Western Australian Planning Commission proposes to rezone a portion of Lots 900 and 901 Lage Road and portion of Lot 201 Great Northern Highway, Bullsbrook (18.1 hectares) from the Rural zone to the Urban Deferred zone.
The Western Australian Planning Commission proposes to transfer approximately 8,028 square metres of land in Cottesloe from the Public Purposes – Special Uses reservation to the Urban zone. The site is occupied by Old Cable Station, listed on the State Register of Heritage Places, and was previously used as the McCall Centre. The proposed urban zoning is to facilitate the sale of the land, which is surplus to Government requirements
